The partnership

Working alongside Cornwall College Group, Against The Odds would deliver a tailored programme of workshops across participating campuses throughout the 26/27 academic year. Sessions can be aligned with enrichment, wellbeing and safeguarding priorities, ensuring learners receive engaging, evidence-led, lived experience, prevention sessions at key stages of their college journey.

The partnership includes a comprehensive evaluation framework, providing campus-specific impact data, learner feedback and measurable outcomes to support reporting and future planning. By embedding delivery across the year, the programme moves beyond one-off awareness sessions and creates a consistent, group-wide approach to prevention, early intervention and student wellbeing.

The aim

Through this partnership, our aim is to equip learners with the knowledge, confidence and critical thinking skills needed to navigate gambling and other emerging harms in today's digital world. By delivering engaging, evidence-led workshops across Cornwall College Group, we hope to increase awareness, challenge harmful narratives, encourage informed decision-making and ensure students know where to access support should they need it. Ultimately, the partnership seeks to strengthen student wellbeing through prevention, early intervention and meaningful education at scale.
